Love Fueled Sharing

Love fueled Sharing

Love-fueled sharing is the principle that allows us to be equitable with others in the 21st century. This isn’t another take from the rich and give to the poor scheme. Love fueled sharing isn’t birthed from the demands of the needy but in the passion of lovers to give.

True Love for others is the only reason we will seek the goodwill of people that can never repay us. Religious duty, the Bible tells me to, and good morals will not cut it. We have the record of the last 500 years to prove that it falls regrettably short. Man will always focus on himself and be excused by this society’s answer that “only the strong survive.”

The opposite of love is not hatred in the 21st century; the opposite of love is greed! The love of money is the ROOT that is underneath/behind everything that is wrong with this world including the Church. Yes, greed is public enemy number one for the transformation of the present society that we live in. The love of money is without a doubt the God of America, and I am sure your country too.

The love of money is also the very thing that keeps the gears of the religious system churning. Without money thousands of hireling Christian leaders would leave the ministry overnight, and only those things that are pure, from the heart, and voluntary would remain.

Let’s let the scriptures give you a true definition of love-fueled sharing.

When is the last time you heard a teaching on how to walk out these verses in your daily life?

Acts 2:44-46 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and they, continuing daily…

Acts 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

Do you know of anywhere I can go and see this type of sharing that is fueled by love in this present day?

I am talking about real family. I am talking about synergy between those that have with those that have not for the good of those in need. I am talking about all hands-on deck as a result of our love for one another.

Let’s break down this Love-Fueled Equity:

  1. All who believed were together. What a novel thought… they actually liked each other!
  2. All who believed were of one heart and one soul; It’s not talking about doctrine but unity of Spirit.
  3. All who believed had all things in common; Speaking to equal access to all (assets and benefits).
  4. All who believed sold their possessions and goods; Real love results in action not just talk.
  5. All who believed divided (time, talent and resources) among them all, as anyone had need.
  6. All who believed never said that any of the things he possessed was his own.
  7. All who believed practiced this life daily. This wasn’t a once-a-year “Remember the Poor event.”

Some people will dismiss these words and actions as something that was just needed in that day. Impossible to fulfill in this world they say! I say not, and I believe this love-fueled sharing can be lived out in the 21st century without resorting to governmental enabling that creates entitlement or heartless public donations for show.

I know you are waiting for me to give the HOW and WHAT part of the recipe for achieving love-fueled sharing. I can’t do that because the answer is unique to every believer. What will work for Americans will not work for Africans and so forth. What will work in the South will not work in the North and what will work in the one inner city will not necessarily work in another. We must hear the Lord’s voice through the Holy Spirit, and He will outline how to build His Church in every place and under every condition.

I can tell you about the WHO’s who will lead out as examples for the Lord’s flock to follow in living out love-fueled sharing. These are men and women who have been in the fire so long that every dross of greed and ambition have been burned out of them. Instead of being proud lovers of themselves, they will be characterized as broken, forgiving, and humble.  They will be known for being great givers of grace and love in a way that even the church world has never seen. They will be true leaders and examples to the Lord’s flock on how to love others.

1 John 4:20-21 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

I am not saying, “Do you have head knowledge of these words, or do you verbally preach and teach them?” I am saying, “How well does your life preach them?”

The Bible says clearly what will cause this generation to stand up and take notice of us and our message, so why are we focusing on any other thing?

John 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

For that love to have teeth there must exist some visible and viable form of love-fueled sharing among His people. Love-fueled sharing flies in the face of the selfishness, self-centeredness and everything that this society considers success. A friend of mine called this Love fueled lifestyle swimming upstream, and I agree. To achieve love-fueled sharing, we are going to have to move from theory to practice. I can’t emphasize this enough. If we as believers cannot get this right, we are just playing church. It will not matter then if we meet in an institutional building or claim to have organic community that meets in a house.

When we finally awake to the fact that Christ must be central, relationships/community do not depend on doctrine, and love/sacrifice must be the foundation for true incarnational Christianity to be formed. It is then that we fully realize how daunting the task is in this skewed (jacked-up) society.

I have been forewarned by the Lord to be prepared for serious challenges ahead. I am convinced that there is no better way to deal with the coming economic storm than with authentic loving relationships which form the backbone of a strong, viable community of believers. Our only safety net for what is coming is an authentic (practicing love) community of believers. Some of you are thinking I am talking about your local church. NO….! The modern church membership invention is a far cry and a departure from what a real authentic community of believers was in the 1st Century. Its ideas of tithing and missions giving are not only unbiblical, but totally missing the mark in reference to true love fueled sharing.

Our primary focus and teaching should be how to walk in authentic relationships so the world can see our love for one another. I am not moving from here. I will not downgrade it and say we are getting close. My heart dreams about the future, but my focus is on loving those the Lord brings into my life today!

Nothing we do inside four walls will ever mean anything if we cannot manifest a loving caring community to the world. May His grace and mercy be continued to be poured out on us.

May this year be the year we voluntarily choose to focus on what makes the Lord smile and His heartbeat race with passion.

But brother Jose, what if we say no to this life fueled by love? Then because the Lord loves His Church, He will usher in a God-sent economic shaking/depression that will go down in history. This massive global event will literally evaporate anything on our schedules that is not rooted in loving the Lord and our neighbors as ourselves. It’s your choice!

I choose voluntary because I would rather not have to live through the second option.

Much love,

Jose L. Bosque
